Plans are underway for the second phase of the restoration of the OLD Jail! The re-pointing on the bricks and mortar on the chimney, south side and the front of the building has been done. The north and back side of the building is the next to be done in 2014.

This work is being funded in part with funds from the Historical Preservation Fund under an agreement with the National Park Service and the Tennessee Historical Commission.

We are grateful for the grant but our fundraising efforts have just begun. To continue to receive grants we need to raise matching funds for continuing restoration. Please send donations to:

PO Box 32,
Tazewell, TN 37879
or call our office: 423-526-5737 for more information.
